Are there problems with this site?

For some reason, I find that accessing this site is extremely slow most of the time for me anyway. Often, the web browser times out and I think I am having Internet problems but other sites load OK. The problems are very intermittent and one minute it works fine and the next minute it crawls again.

Also, I'm no longer getting any e-mail notifications from posts I subscribed to or e-mail notifications from private messages.

Anyway, just wondering it if just me or is this happening to others as well?

Thanks,

Maurice

Happening to me as well. Website slow, pictures taking forever to load and no email notifications either.
IE9 in use here.

Painfully slow is a good way to put it. I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. Whatever it is, I'm sure the mods are on it!

Same issues here, even slower when pictures are involved.

I can't agree more. I think the server accelerator has not been installed on it. I am sure bob will check. It has been so slow since the server was moved to the "uninfected" virtual machine. I think Bob needs to put it back in "php accelerator" that is.

APC. OR EACCELERATOR

The site seems to work OK here in Sweden (100 Mb line), maybe a little on the slow side.
But the login does not work from the "Home" page, you get redirected to a login page with "password invalid" and have to reenter password again.

I find it much better to Bob. Was it the cashing accelerator?

No I have not installed the caching yet. Will see if I can hook up with you later tonight and do that.

Maurice

It's faster but I'm still not getting any e-mail notifications.

I will be driving home tonight. If we don't get to it tonight we can do it tomorrow during the day. I am not getting email notifications either.

Speaking of which, that would mean new member registrations won't e getting activation emails either. That should be the priority
