I just have to make the trim indicator covers and labels, finish the parkbrake switch and solenoid then it will be ready for lighting, wiring and paint. Almost there!!!

Hi all,
Another week at the throttle and I've completed the trim indicator covers and indicators, it's a joy to see the indicator working with the trim wheels spinning! 45 turns of the trim wheels rotate the indicators through the 17 graduation steps on the labels and the trim pot rotates 270 degrees. I replaced the park brake lever as the first one I made sat a bit high, the park brake switch is fitted but I still have to do the release solenoid. You can see in these pics how I made the top covers from 3mm clear acrylic, this is to allow the LEDs to light the flap and spoiler labels, the exposed parts will be painted grey soon. I found a local supplier who made 4 spray cans of RAL 7011 for me. It is very close to finished now with lighting, wiring and paint still to do.

Gwyn,

You really shouldn't be posting pictures of a brand new real 737 throttle and pass it as your own.  ;D

Bravo! Truly magnificent workmanship.

this is really incredible work Gwyn.  Seriously as I am finishing up my real TQ conversion and I swear looking at your pictures that I am looking at my real TQ.  Unbelievable.  I really think this is the best crafted replica I have seen to date.  You have to be proud of that!  I also think that it should elevate you toward the builder hall of fame status on this site!

I second that.  Any Nay's?  Then the motion carries, right Trevor?

Thanks guys, your comments are very well received, believe me I can't stop grinning! It is an absolute joy to post pictures of my work and receive such great feedback. I may have a small business that has grown from my passion but ultimately I am still here to share what I do with other builders. I was quite stoked to see the title of 'Guru' next to my name and wear that badge with honour!
I have two major projects going that is keeping Aerosim Solutions under the radar but when the dust settles in a year or two I'll be back firing on all cylinders!
The TQ - I finished the white block that houses the speedbrake 'UP' switch last night and I'm also replacing the plastic speedbrake handle which wasn't quite the right shape, the new one handle is forming a new silicon mold as I write. I will have a full suite of Boeing TQ knobs in the product list soon for 737, 747 & 777. More pics of the TQ soon.
Cheers guys,
Gwyn  :D

OK for the title, of course!!
Besides I'm daily reminded of Gwyn's abilty when I pull out or stow flaps with a super neat "klunk" from my Aerosim sturdy gate!

Speaking of Klunks...You all know my opinion on the 73 TQ and I must say that Gwyn did a hell of job with that old ugly Boeing klunker!! :D

Hey Gywn,

Would you sell just certain pieces of B737 Throttle? I really need the Flap position guide/placement, and the flap position indicator labeling next to the guide. If you have those two items available please post or pm me.

Hi John,
Yes I can supply any component of the 737 TQ as all the CNC files are completed. The flapgate is a two hour cut then about 30 minutes of polishing. I have a few flap labels made already so it is do-able! Please contact me via my website's contact page and I will sort something out.
