I did not know what an SRA approach (Surveillance Radar Approach) was until I tried a landing in Gibraltar and looked at the charts. Apparently this is a type of radar instrument approach provided with active assistance from air traffic control.

Since I was not under ATC, I added a fix to guide me on the approach. All went well although I was a bit late turning into final but I was able to land without problem.

Anyway, this was an interesting approach with low clouds & 5 miles visibility with a landing on Rwy 09.

Thanks Nat. Someday, you should stop admiring XP scenery, spread your wings and fly somewhere away from your local airport. After all, this hobby is mostly about flight simulation and not so much about watching & admiring night airport scenery (or any scenery for that matter) no matter how beautiful it might be.   ;)

FSX is dead...Long live FSX.   ;D
