G'day, all
feel free to move if in wrong place

I love flying the Cessna Grand Caravan 208b, and the payware version from Carenado ,  would like to know if its possible to build a  smallish
cockpit, with the layout like you see in fsx, for a small room, but still be fun sitting in a mini cockpit.. i have seen some plans here and there and some but most build the 172s I really just love the caravan for some reason, maybe the versatility of the plane , who knows..
hope you get what i mean..

Anything is possible.  It depends how much you want to pay, how much work you want to put into it, how much you are willing to compromise, and how important exactness is to you.

I built this babies with Simkits, real parts,  as well as home made parts and gauges years ago.  Even the Garmin was homemade, and preceded the Garsim.

Before these was a Cessna T-41...  just can't find the pictures.

Hope this motivates you.

Damn now that I look at these pictures, I really miss that cherokee 235...  It was a replica of the one I use to be a part owner on.  Once I get back to the US, I think I just may build another one.

Nice work Warren!

Just buy another 235 and I'll come fly it with you :)

Caravan is a great rugged airplane and a "perfect Sim.
The cockpit is straight and square, easy to replicate, if bulky (5'+wide)
The most challenging part is probably the glareshield, the rest is a breeze to build, especially if you are not replicating to the mm. Even the real TQ looks like a GoFlight unit from start! lol

Turbo prop is more fun than piston and allows FLs . Oxy and pressurization being a non issue! Can be wheels, can be floats...perfect choice :D

thanks guys, I'm still around ...
had some time off for a few months due to my father (90) passing away
and now slowly getting back into fsx
www.miloaviation.com  is my website ..
I have been doing a lot of research into flight sim home cockpit building and most people seem to do the 737's or the 172's , and as usual I do have to be different with things !
I'd like to get my cockpit pretty close to whats real in fsx and in real life, don't know if it will be possible.. but who knows..

oh saw this on the net but not sure I can afford some thing like this
and shipping and such would be a killer to Australia

IMHO the shape of the Caravan MIP allows virtuel gauges behind a mask, much cheaper and easier than real gauges (but not as sexy .. though)

the site says that C-208 gauges are next!

Just for info
Jack

Lost my Dad 2 years ago and know how it may change your "waypoints".
