Measurements of cockpit 737-800

Hi,

My name  is Martin and I am based in The Netherlands.

Am a freak on X-plane flying and have a dream to built my own cockpit for many years already.

So why not do it.

Well here is the question.

I need to know the measurements of the main panel of the boeing 737-800.

Can any one point me to the right info ?

Hi Martin,

markuspilots plans are great, I referenced these myself when I started my MIP.
There are a bunch of plans out there and one thing I noticed is that they are all slightly different.
You might want to consider this particularly if you are going to be buying any panels and instruments eg opencockpits, cockpitsonic etc.
I ended up drawing out my own plans, based on marcuspilots, but taking into consideration the measurements of some of the opencockpit panels I'd already bought.

Are you starting with the MIP?
I see you're x-plane based, so I imagine you're working with the x737.
What kind of interfacing are you thinking of?

Well Milzee,

I do part by part.

X-plane is flexible, and either I interface via XPUIPC or i write some api interface myself.

I am totally new to this, so am very open for suggestions.

By idea is the winter months are coming and that usually means a lot of time inside at my hobby room.

I always wanted to built my own, and yes it will be x737 based.

This year I met the creator/owner of Markuspilot.com - Captain Mark A. from Sydney Australia. Mark has been flying the 737 for Qantas for about 27 years, we usually catch up when he trips 'across the sad pit' to Perth. He is a really nice chap and very passionate about simming despite the day job! He also has a 737 sim at his home.

I have found other drawings that are more detailed than MArkus and have attached the file.

Ive used this exact plan for my MIP frame.  I have the cockpitsimparts MIP version and it fits great.  Needed to makeup some braces at 15 degrees to support the MIP as well. Also to note, this MIP frame fits wonderfully inside a FDS 737 Shell.
