I have been testing various 737-800 Flow and Checklists, and the one that I have found to be well suited to my Sim-Avionics 737-800 flight model is from Michael Swannick (posted public on the web in PDF format).  Here is the link:

Perhaps it will be beneficial to your Sim setup.

Mike -

Good find!  That is pretty much the most comprehensive and accurate one that I have seen!

THIS is what I have been looking for! Wow.. Now to get it printed out and laminated for WF!!!

Hi Bob,

Glad you like the 737-800 Flow Checklist.  From the testing I have done with my FDS / Sim-Avionics Sim, this Flow/Checklist works very well.  This might bode well for use in CBWF, as Sam's Sim uses FDS hardware and Sim-Avionics, so this Flow/Checklist should be a reliable asset at CBWF for those wanting to step through the whole process and not miss anything.

However, for those wanting to by-pass the Cold and Dark, Sim-Avionics has a great feature where you can call up various flight mode scenarios, such as at a particular airport/gate, with the engines already running.  This might actually be easier for folks not familiar with Sim-Avionics, allowing them to focus more on setting up the FMC and other primary cockpit management requirements for their particular flight route.  Just a thought...

In concert with other cockpit management procedures, are the Pilot Briefings.  Because I am new to my Sim and the 737-800, I am also very weak in this aspect of Cockpit Management, both from Captain / First Officer side of this requirement.  It might be good to print out what is needed in each Briefing so nothing is missed, eg. Pre-TakeOff Briefing, Approach Briefing, etc.    Maybe this is too formal, but it is done in the real-world (to some extent and detail at least).  Again, just some thoughts...

Adding to the mix of perhaps useful 737-800 Procedures information for the up coming CBWF....   Here is a 737-800 Procedures Manual that I found to be fairly concise, and it includes Captain and First Officer responsibilities for "Call Outs" etc.  This prints out in a compact booklet that is easy to use in the cockpit.

Of course, there are myriad manuals like this, PMDG certainly is an excellent example as it is a copy of Boeing's documentation - but rather bulky.

Anyway, perhaps this is useful to some on this Forum.  Here is a link to a PDF of this documents:

Hello Warren,

Yes...  If you are willing to share additional documentation on FCOM, please send it.  I'm still trying to climb the steep learning curve, so any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

I can print and laminate. To bring with me. But I must say it is a tad more in depth than what we require. Lol

In any case I was going to take things like this and revamp it combined with the fcom and prepare a standard document for use at WF.

Bob and I will discuss.
