This is the 3rd Glareshield I have constructed....this one in particular is made 100 percent 3/16 inch and 1/2 inch  foam board construction....and weights practically nothing.

I used internal ribs and stringers (3/16 inch foam) and weldbond glue to tie the whole thing together. To give the rough corners a better finish I used regular wood filler and then fine sanded for a smooth, seamless finish.

Finally a coat of grey and flat black paint (spray) and viola!

I was a bit worried about the MCP and cooling requirements...so the MCP is raised 1/4 inch to allow the side cooling vents to draw air in and I have fitted a CPU cooling fan (12volts) to the rear of the unit to draw air through the glareshield.
