I intend to get a new PC to run FSX with JeeHell. At the moment this will be the only PC for the simulation.  I will later add one or two PCs as I will be expanding the system and getting full cockpit hardware. However this new PC will still  be the main PC to run FSX and the main display.  The other PCs will run the display monitors etc.

As I am not a techy guy, can you please comment. Any advice is appreciated.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W (over clocked to 4.4 MHz)
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 770  4GB PCI Express 3.0
RAM: 16GB HyperX DDR3 SDRAM 1866Mhz
Hard Drive: 1TB SEAGATE 7200RPM

Thanks

I would go with the 780 Ti

I also would not go with a 7200 rpm hard drive.  Go with Ssd and I can vouch for the Samsung 840 Pro series.  I run 2 256 gb ssds in each fsx computer.  One drive is for system and other for FSX.  Advantage of SSD is much faster load times and also you do not have to defrag the drives.   I just replace 10 300 gig 10k WD Velocirapto drives which are now collecting dust on the shelf in favor of the SSDs and will never go back.

My .02

Hope that helps,
Scott

Scott and Nat, thanks a lot. I will go with both recommendation.

For the hard drive, which would you recommend:

- One hard drive, partitioned into two (C: and D:); or
- Two separate hard drives.

Thanks

Personally I prefer two separate hard drives,
but if not, get at least 240Gb SSD.

And water-cool that sucker. A Corsair H100 fits nicely on that CPU. I know, I just built this one.

I agree with Nat.   I like using two drives as well.

Another excellent recommendation!   Forgot about that.  I use the same cooler.  H100 is great.   Probably should also mention to get a nice case with plenty of breathing space and case fans.   I personally like the HAF 932.
