Hi all,
Trying to get an MCP from opencockpits working in x-plane.   For the life of me I cannot get the rotary encoders to do their job correctly.  The readinds on the mcp just kinda go back and forth and not up and down smoothly like I have them doing when using FSX or P3D.
This whole dataref vs Commands and what to read or write to in x-plane 10 is confusing me.
I am using UIPCX in x-plane for the IOCP offests and the x737 eadt

Thanks
Rob

hi.... I am planning to X-Plane my Opencockpit so I'm reading a lot of posts ... I was wondering if you ever got that problem sorted out .... 4 years ago!

Eggsy,
What Rob has managed to do with X-Plane is utterly amazing.  (He has figured it out)  Probably the most knowledgeable I have ever met when it comes to programming Arduino interfaces to X-Plane.

Trev,   thank you so much for the update! I am just beginning here so I'll die before getting a single switch to work; but it's very encouraging to know that it is possible to fly the X-plane in a home cockpit. This site is priceless, at least for dreamers like me. I've just realized that I made a fool of myself in another discussion group with my silly questions... just bear with me a little longer, I'm a slow learner but I do learn eventually... very eventually.

Trevor Hale

Don't be sorry bud,  we all learn sometime and there is a lot of knowledge here..  sometimes you have to be patient to wait for an answer, but eventually it will come.
