Hi Guys,

Question.  Should annunciator panels be backlit?  Should you be able to read the annunciators "White Backlight" When they are out? and then the color when they are on?  Or should they be Blacked out unless they are on?

The text on some may be left visible, but i don't think they should be backlit. Would be confusing if it were white, and may actually be ignored if your used to seeing a lit up text even though it's now in a different color.

The annunciators I have, the text isn't visible at all until the warning is on.

IF you had the desire to do so, you could program the LEDs (assuming that is what you are using) to emit a very dim light when powered up versus the full effect when lit without taking away from the realistic look of the cockpit. Not sure how this would affect the lifespan of the LED but what the hell they're just LEDs you can just replace them.

LOL  Good plan, However I elected to go with the no lighting unless they are on route :)

Thanks Efe.
