Hey Guys,

Seen units similar to this, but just saw this one..  Looks pretty impressive.  Has anyone used one of these yet?

Thanks,

Trev

I have one and actually panel mounted it on my computer rack. Works great and allows P3D to channel all voice to your headsets along with ambient noise if you desire.

A real aviation intercom does the trick for much less.

Integrated where jacks are supposed to be.

Jack,
How did you interface that with the comm computer?

Craig

Most of them have an audio feed to inject music .

OK - correct me if I'm wrong - but if you go the cheaper route of using an aircraft intercom, you still need to buy a new sound card so that you can route comms audio to the headset and keep ambient sounds and other environmental sounds in your cockpit speakers.

Overall cost is still similar but now you have a fully integrated unit that is very easy to install and operate.

Craig, we do it for worldflight.  The Aviation intercom has a line in and a line out.  So the line in is the FSX Sounds, and the Line out is Vpilot to the speakers.  Works like a champ.

Thanks Trevor,
Indeed it works very well in the "Delta 209" box!!
Worth looking into.
I will be using a dedicated "comm" computer so it should be simple, right?

Another nice one with audio input

Jim is right if you want a simple P&P solution , the Aviat Intercom takes a little bit of ingenuity but even with a cheap sound card, comes out cost efficient. (IMHO)

Very simple..  The hard part is screwing with simconnect on the stand alone box :)
