Joaquin,

Had a look at your Boston scenery today.  Now I must admit that my plan was to go and look at the scenery first then install your Scenery, then compare, however I was too excited and just installed your scenery.

In any case, I will tell you the following..  Its pretty awesome that you took on such a task.  I use to design aircraft for Abacus Software for flightsim, and I know that's not an easy task... Scenery is a different animal and you did an excellent job.

Good for you.

I Like your markings on the taxiways and gates..  Man attention to detail for sure.  Knowing the gate you are pulling into because it is marked on the tarmac is the best part of the scenery.

I have included my favorite view in the attachments.

And one attachment, I am not sure about.  The Delta building seems to be missing something. In cause you forgot about it I thought I would point it out.

I must admit I don;t fly into KBOS often, and I really have never seen pics so I don't know if things are what they are supposed to be, but I thought I would post and you could tell me if its right.

Anyway 150% Cudos to you, Great Job turning a crap Default Airport airport into something a lot more realistic.

I can't wait to see your future versions..

Hi to all:

Thanks for all the kind comments. I was out of town for the weekend and just returned
this afternoon so I could not reply to you guys before.
Indeed it is a bit labor intensive but it was worth it. My son is working on
his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering at Tufts and I visit there  quite frequently. During a long taxi to RWY 22L  I noticed how bad the stock airport was, not to mention that the taxiways were all wrong.

With regards to the Delta Building, I did not model it as I point it out on the README.txt file, mainly due to the fact that I do not yet have the software to include more realistic buildings, which is another another beast in itself.

I am posting my last revision which corrected a few omissions and a wrong a texture on the taxiway R sideline. It is now easier to do since the bulk of the work is already done.
I tried to compile it with the P3D v4.2 SDK but on the first try I was not successful due to some texture issues. In time, I will figure it out though, but I do not know if it will make any significant difference.

I am posting then last revision here.

Enjoy

And above I meant the "latest" not the last ;)

Trevor Hale

LOL,

I think I speak for many of us when I say thank you for your efforts..  I will install the revision.

Hi Trev and everyone:

I am releasing what I call version 1.0 hehe, I had
to add a copyright clause after some research. It is still
shareware but what I am trying to do with this, is to avoid
people out there to profit from this work. I have done it with
great pleasure to contribute to our great community.
I hope everyone understands this. If anyone notices anything that can
be improved, please let me know so I can address it in my spare time.
I have included some pictures of the scenery in the zip file.

Joaquin thanks for the scenery. Looks great in the folder images. I do think i'm having a bit of an issue with it, though. The images you included are showing that most gates have a jetway. Mine is only showing 1 or 2 jetways per terminal. Are there any specific settings for Scenery Objects?

Edit: Scenery Complexity needs to be at Very Dense or higher to see multiple jetways.

jfuenmayor

Hi:
It may be due to the graphics adapter setting in P3D. When adding jetways, its density may be selected from extremely dense, very dense and dense. The Graphics card may need some tweaking since the scenery is quite complex in ground polygons and may be resource intensive. I Compiled it with the jetways set to very dense since its movement is more fluid at the gate, the result may be that some jetways are not displayed in some systems. Try playing with your graphics settings to see what happens and let me know. Remember, most guys here have high end cards :). In any case, I may need to recompile with the jetways set to a lower density.
