CP Flight Selcal - How does it work

Hi All,

Have recently purchased a selcal unit along with other products for my pedestal which is now complete.
The problem I'm having is working out how the Selcal unit works and where do I get a code from and where do i input that code when received.
Any help would be appreciated.
