Carlos,
these are the hall effect sensors I got if you decide to take that route:

70152972
HRS100SSAB180      $28.410
Sensor, Position, Hall Effect, Rotary, 5VDC, Stainless Steel Shaft, 180deg.

70152986
HRS100SSAB090      $28.410
Sensor, Position, Hall Effect

Pay particular attention to the limits... on is 90 degrees and one is 180.

I got them from allied electronics.  I have NOT installed them yet as my systems seem to be gone now, but I have them just in case things go bad down the road.  I have pulled the elevator pot out and it is a fairly simple thing to change though.  The aileron on the other hand could pose a problem as you will have to get in behind the yoke and the ACE yokes are no less comlicated than a real one.

Warren

Many thanks Warren, I will try your suggestion on another post and if not solve I will order this ones !

John Li

Trevor Hale,
I noticed you have contact with Ali.
I too have been left hanging for about 2 months.
Ali said he was ready to ship in early June. I paid. Then no communications thereafter.
Is he OK? Alive and well?
What happens next?
Can you forward contact info?  Is there a business phone?  Is there a business address?
I am working for a government contractor who ordered this stuff.
Thanks!
John

After seeing the email to me from Karim, I contacted Ali, and passed on his concerns.  Since then he has responded to Karim and everything is fine.  Unfortunately we all get caught up in the "Buy it now, Want it now"  We all know this does not happen in this hobby.

Best regards,

Trev

PS Ali, passes on his best to all of us.

Trevor Hale

Hi John, Sorry I missed this...  I haven't talked to Ali in a very long time..  Could be over a Year, I can't remember.  In any Case, I will try to PM him, you can do the same from here.. From my experience though there are two sides to every story, until I speak with Ali... I really don;t know what is going on with him.  I hope that his customer service hasn't gone down the crapper.  When he got started he was pumping Yokes out and providing very good service.  I have no Idea why things may have changed for him, but he really needs to stay honest with people and keep them updated.  People in this hobby don't mind buying things that are delayed, if they are informed of the delays.  But there is a difference between delays and excuses.

I hope Ali is ok, but on the other hand I hope you get the results you expected.  The product that I remember was very well build and of top notch quality.

Best of Luck.

Trevor,
Thanks.
I am sorry to hear that.
I am still waiting, now 4 months later...
Paid and told they will be getting a tracking number, and then no communications.
John.

Trevor Hale

That is absolutely unacceptable.  Well it is one of those things that I now will chalk up as a learning experience.  I am very disappointed that you have been treated this way, and to be honest I am shocked.

There is no excuse for this and I would have to say moving forward we should all learn from this experience. As far as I am concerned his reputation has be seriously tarnished.  I don't take that stuff lightly.  There is no possible excuse for you to have waited this long.

If you do manage to get ahold of him, tell him that I would really like to hear his explanation on this one.

Please keep me informed.

Trev

Over the years I keep seeing sad stories like this concerning Ali on this and other forums

Whilst it will not help John, I would hope that others reading this thread will stop rewarding such appalling service by continuing to place orders. No orders might be the best way to force a change in Ali`s priorities

Hi Everyone,

I have unfortunately experienced exactly the same situation with Ali from ACE. I am still waiting on the 737 yoke I purchased four months ago to arrive!

I initially sent Ali an email before making the purchase asking what his lead time was to which he replied straight away with 4-6wks.  I proceeded with the purchase and then as with so many other customers we are only now beginning to realize, absolutely no response after sending Ali email after email after email.

His phone number is disconnected also.

He did finally send one email in September and said he could send it to us in 2-3 business days, but now again he has disappeared.

In our last email we have no other choice but to advise him that we will need to contact the authorities. He cannot take people's hard earned money and then ignore his customers.

Is anyone in Canada able to guide us on who we can contact since we are in Australia? The Brampton police department perhaps? Would they be able to do anything about it?

Thanks
Steve

Steve -

The only practical way to deal with this is via PayPal or your credit card company depending on how you made payment.  If they are unable to either contact him or get a satisfactory explanation of his side of the story they are obligated to refund your money within 30 days. Some credit card banks will refund your money immediately subject of course to their verification of the problem within 30 days.  I have successfully resolved bad purchases like this on two occasions with just a mere phone call to the bank.

A paypal claim for refund is time limited, and by the timelines given here, they are well beyond them.  You can try, but doubtful you will get resolution from them.

Mine took a long time to receive and like others pointed out, he blew through several deadlines of shipment and emails of "Hey I'm shipping Friday".  Seems like its ogtten worse though, at least he responded to my mail.

I think the guy should be in prison!! Many people have paid him money and many have never received anything!! I may be wrong but he did the same under a previous product brand name as well!!

The sad part about all of this is initially for the first year or so he was very good with orders. [FACT]

I even visited his shop and was impressed by his setup. [FACT]

Unfortunately it is my personal opinion in this hobby that some rare vendors can turn out this way [MY OPINION]

It's not the first time we have heard this story. [FACT]

If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.

Hi All,

Thanks for the advice. Interestingly I got a response from Ali!!! He says he will ship by this weekend. Let's see what happens.  I really didn't want to report it to the authorities, I'm not that kind of person, but I have given him 3 days to provide confirmation of the shipping details.

Steve,
Any luck hearing from Ali?
Did you ever get your things?

I am going on 7 months now.

John

Hey guys: I emailed ALI a while back inquiring about his yoke. He did reply almost a week later and said the yoke had a TWO WEEK turn around. I did a little research and  I ran into this website and saw your posts, and that put me off right away. Matter of fact , after all the horror stories, I am now not going to order. I sent ALI another email and stated that until all these issues were resolved, I would not order. That was 3 days ago, no reply yet ...

fordgt40

Well done Jorge, though it must be very disappointing for you. If more people followed your action then Ali may finally learn to behave professionally

Well folks,  looks like Ali is not improving.  I'm building a  cockpit with a friend and he ordered a Yoke just before new years Eve 2013. Guess what,  it's not shipped yet and Ali is not responding since two months. I should have run into this site before ordering but you guys are my last chance,  may be Trevor can help!  I would appreciate that! Cheers,  Miguel

For the prices he charges... better off getting the genuine article and interfacing yourself.

Hi Miguel,

Unfortunately I doubt there is anything I can do.  I totally am disappointed with the way he has behaved, and really can't believe he hasn't taken his website down. It appears as though He continues to take peoples money and orders and doesn't talk to them or service them.  In Canada we call this Fraud!  Unless there are people he is dealing with that I don't know about.

I have this site so that people can stay informed with changes in this hobby, and I feel very bad for you guys that got ripped, all I can do is continue to inform people.  I just wish he would come clean about his business intentions and remove his website and stop behaving like he is to people.

It just isn't right.

Have a business address?  IIRC he's in Brampton or atleast his PO Box is... I live there so no problem in paying a courtesy call.

I'm also on good terms with a few Detectives in Peel Regional Police (which covers this jurisdiction).

Trevor Hale

Gents.

I would like to reiterate my dissatisfaction with this businesses practices and their code of conduct. I am also a Canadian, and do not want to be painted with the same brush that this Canadian business is being brushed with. I would like to also Caution anyone who continues to do business with this person as clearly the business is in some kind of difficulty.

For the benefit of the members here, and for the benefit of our hobby I am going to close this thread.  I just want to leave it as a warning to anyone looking to purchase from this company to think twice and good luck.
