I'm looking forward to it Sam! It'll be good to see you and the entire Delta-209 crew again.

I think this year I'm going to put together a set of ATC templates for radio comms. More than once, several pilots experience 'mic fright' (Me included) and it'll be good to get over that initial fear. It seems the most difficult communication is the initial one to Clearance Delivery, where you have to copy then read the clearance back. That tends to paralyze folks if they haven't practiced it repeatedly.

There's a flow to ATC comms.. hopefully I can help with that. I'll be posting my work in a separate WF2015 thread.

Flights, hotel room and car all booked!!

99 days and counting!

Looks like similar times to me Ray.

Great Idea Ray, Sim is ready! only thing we need to fix this time is the communication between V-Pilot and the Sim, I believe is a Simconnect issue.

Lol guys. Just trying to save for a family trip. If all goes well I should have that money by the end of this month (August). Then I can save for my ticket to worldflight. Either way I can't show up there until the Sunday regardless. So I will miss the first flight which traditionally Bob and I do. Grrrrr. I hate that part.

If you have to miss the first flight to be there.... then I am all for it! I am sure someone will step up and take it! Me I will probably just be sitting in a corner looking like a ball of jelly at that point anyway!  ;D

Lol @ Bob. I can imagine.

Sam, there is no place I would rather be. What screwed me up a bit is we got bought out... And they are a little slow taking care of some thing they should have taken care of and it puts us in a bit of a bind.

In any case. Before the end of August I should be sorted. And will know for sure.

What day/time is the first flight? I land in SRQ @ 10:30 on that Saturday. (I'll be thoroughly wiped out but otherwise available for a flight)

No Austrailia leaves on Sat. We are 12 hours behind them, we leave on Friday. They moves everything up 1 day last year.

Hi Bob,

Check the schedule again. Gwyn posted it in his thread.
They depart at 7:00am Sunday their time, which makes ours Saturday.

They moved it back last year, not up.

LMFAO, A great solution for flashing CDU's! too bad we wouldn't be using it this year, no more flashing CDU's! Yes Ray it was not because of flying near the Equator, but the mask is there if we ever need it again.

Sam,

So, what was the cause of the flashing CDU's?

Hi John,

To be honest, I don't know, I just change the avionics suite from Sim-A to Prosim737.

All I know is that I'm still using the same computer with the same USB hubs and same everything but no Flashing CDU's or random disconnects.

Pretty happy!

Well, the airline changed their schedule so now I'm arriving at 7:00pm on the 31'st and leaving in the evening of the 7th.

Was hoping to be there for the start this time but I'll be there for 99% of it.

Thanks

Have we contacted Tyalor at ACH Yet?

Bob -

It is best that you handle the ACH contact as I will be unable to do WorldFlight this year due to some other conflicting commitments that I have that week.  I was contemplating being there for the kickoff but it is just too much of a hassle to get there just for one day.  I am disappointed about that, but will be with you guys in spirit!

Here is a link to the most visited hotels in Sarasota, I prefer the Holiday Inn Sarasota-Airport, is close by and no traffic to get to my house. (plus you get an excellent view of the airport)

Cheers,

I stayed at that Holiday Inn the last 2 trips. Great hotel and great staff. Quiet.

The only problem was the AC in the rooms. I need some form of white noise such as a fan all night long and the AC units are all thermostat-controlled.

Trying a different hotel this time. The problems of getting old :)

Actually Kyle.

I spoke to my wife this weekend..  I am in..  And to top it all off, I am going to arrive on Saturday the 31st.  I won't be getting my ticket until September though, but the best part is that I shouldn't miss too much.

Me Too.  You guys all have to understand that Worldflight is a way of life for me, I spend all year looking forward to it. Not to mention it is the only time of the year I get to see my friends.  I understand that it may have pissed you guys off that I may have not been able to come, especially because Bob and I pushed Sam to get into this, but really as much as I have things in life that I want to do, my family always has to come first.  I am glad that I will be able to swing it this year.  It keeps everyone happy and I get to come spend time with my friends.

I will start to work on the Sched, once I get a list of people who are attending.
