Sam, Trevor,

Hi Guys,

We are traveling to Europe and will return late October.  I can make it down to Sam's place to participate in World Flight on 11-6-14 to 11-8-14.   I will have to leave on Sunday the 9th.

Trevor - I went to the Donation site, and entered in the information as stated in the example you provided.  But it rejected the donation because not all the fields were filled.  It wants my address, but you require that FL be input, and I live in New Mexico.  Does this matter, or is there another way to donate?  Once I hear back from you I will make my donation.

We leave for Europe this Thursday the 18th so I only have a few days to get this completed.  Please let me know asap.  Thanks.

Also, please send me the schedule and flight information.  I will not be able to fly late at night (local time).  Please consider that for flight assignments.  If that is a problem, then I will have to cancel.

I'm looking forward to another year of WF.

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I didn't have any issues.

If you are having trouble with the "in Honor of" Portion just add the "Worldflight Team USA"  in the additional comments section at the bottom of the billing.  I believe the address part you are referring to was in the top section, which only has required fields for the name.

Maybe try again and provide me with a screenshot of the issue your having.

I will take your issues into consideration as soon as your donation is made.

Best regards

Hi Trevor,

Thanks for the prompt reply.  I went back into the All Children's Hospital's donation site, and re-completed the form.  This time it was processed and went through.   There is no transaction number, but I do have a "tracking code" if you need verification of the donation.

I will plan on traveling on Nov 5th to Tampa, with daytime availability to fly WF on the 6th, 7th, and the 8th.  I will leave for home on the 9th.

Also, I have a good friend that I want to sponsor for the WF event.  His name is George and he has been flying Sims for many years and is quite familiar with the 737 aircraft.  He recently took delivery of a JetMax 737.  It it works out that George join me, we will be at WF during the same time frame.  I will let George know about the donation policy.  Please let me know the flight schedule.   Thanks.

No Problem Mike,

When you get your receipt you can just email that to me..  That's what everyone else has done.  It doesn't have any confidential information on it anyway.  As for George, if he would like to fly, have him follow suit with you and I will fit him in in the time slots that you will be around as they are available on a first come first serve basis.  Unless he would like to just do the "Special Guest" Donation in which case he can sit in the jump seat.

Let me know. Otherwise I will do your flight schedule now. (KEEP IN MIND.. There is only 1 flight Saturday and it is in the very wee hours of the morning. so you will only qualify for a flight Thursday and Friday.  Unless you can see an FO slot that you would like to fill that is available.  Other flights seem to be getting into dark time LOL.

Hi Trevor,

I'm planning on speaking with George sometime later today.   It may be that we can plan to arrive a day earlier on the 5th.   In any case, we will need to fly daytime (local), or early evening is OK as well.   Please place George and I together as CA and FO, and the other way around.   I don't mind flying FO at all, and I think George is fine with a FO roll as well.

I will send you an email confirming donations.  Thanks.

I'm in.  As luck would have it I will be there for business again :)

Will be nice to fly now that my sim is gone :(

Then again, I'm hearing I'm going to be posted in Shanghai for a couple years so glad I don't have to worry about storing or shipping it!

Hi George,

Looking forward to you experiencing the World Flight event.   I know you are going to have a great time, and that you will be an asset to the WF TEAM.

Also, thanks for noting that one of my my post on this thread was changed in an offensive manner.  I don't know who did this, but I appreciate your letting me know and vouching for my character.  I have since deleted the personally offensive reference made within that post.   Enough said.

Hi Mike,

I believe that was the spam filter at work that automatically changes trigger words. For some reason hea.lth is one of them.

Hi Mike,

The Board did it automatically.  We had a series of spam that would post "M E D I C A L" Terms trying to sell  m e d i c a t i o n etc, so what happens is when there are certain words used it replaces them.  No harm done either way.

Hi Trevor,

Thanks for clarifying the spam issue.    Just to clarify our arrival (George Bowman and I), we will fly into Tampa on Tuesday the 4th and be ready for WF on the 5th through the 7th.   We plan on returning to our respective homes (George lives in Lubbock) on Saturday the 8th.  Please plug us into the flight schedule accordingly.  Morning and evening flights are OK - just can't handle the late night stuff.

Thanks for your understanding, and thanks again for all the leg work you are doing on WF.

Hi Trev -

My nominal plan is to arrive by early afternoon on Sunday and to leave early afternoon on Friday.  I plan to spend some time visiting friends in the general area in between but my schedule is otherwise flexible.  I can also arrive earlier or leave later if that would be more helpful..... just let me know as soon as possible as to what is preferable so I can book my flights accordingly.

And again...let me know if I can help with anything.

Hi Guys,

In case you didn't already know.  Check the Pilot Center on the Worldflight page.

http://worldflight.cockpitbuilders.com/pilots.html

I already have the flight schedule underway.

Fred, Please check to see if your flights are inline with your plans. I had you in for 8:00am Sunday and a last flight at 2:15pm Friday.

Trev -

I can be there for Sunday morning as scheduled but.....

I have two requests (the first is the important one):

(1) For Friday I need to catch a 4:46 pm flight out of SRQ....Can you schedule me for any one of the earlier slots that day?

(2) Would love to do one of the KEWR flights if at all possible....Newark was my home airport when I was working....Did a lot of flying out of there back then.

I like that I am mostly scheduled for daytime slots.  Would also be willing to add 1 or 2 more flights if space permits....preferably adjacent to one's already scheduled.

Thanks much,
Fred

I have moved you up one time slot (Does this work?)

I have added you to the KEWR Flight, Hope you don;t mind having a couple flights closer together.

If there are empty slots available when we get closer, for sure you can have them.  Just want everyone to have a fair shot at the daytime flights.  We still need some more pilots, and I for one will give up flying some flights if we can get more guys to sign up.

I would rather have too many pilots than not enough, as that makes all the other fill in flights better.

Honestly, I will likely have trouble filling the early morning and Late nights, so lets see how it goes bud.

I hope what I have done works for everyone.  As the schedule fills up, I won;t be able to make many more changes, as when I take away form someone I have to give them something in return.

Please Let me know if there are any other requests.

Hey Trev,  you can use my slots if necessary,  we want to accommodate pilots coming from other countries first and then pilots coming from different  states second,  local pilots can be accommodated as needed.
Happy flying!

FredK

Trev -

Thanks for making those adjustments in my case....all looks OK!  I will book my flight travel this evening.

I think the way you are doing the schedule by filling the daytime/early eve slots first is a very logical approach.  However if we do get an avalanche of new recruits it would be only fair to spread some of those redeye slots around fairly.....if in fact we get that many pilots (would be great if that happens).

And to be sure....my intent is not to hog flight time by any means.  I'm just expressing a willingness to step into one or two additional slots if needed.

Thanks for handling all this.
