Title: Issues in positioning aircraft via RWYGATE button
Post by: rates16 on November 01, 2012, 02:55:56 AM
Hello,
I'm having a problem positioning the aircraft using the RWYGATE button. After I select the airport, the approach distance and everything, then click in OK, the coordinates given by the software are misplaced. It puts all the corrdinantes, degrees, minutes and seconds, in the "degree" cell. And if I click in "SET POSITION", it of course, indicates an error saying that there's a problem with the input data. And, if I change the option "Use seconds" from "No" to "Yes", the coordinates change to the current location of the airplane.

Thank you in advance!

Pedro

Pedro,
can you provide us any more info?
-Software? What software are you using
-FS version? What version of FS are you using?
-Hardware?  What hardware are you pushing?

Thank you all for the responses.
I didn't start solving the problem becausa I must be some kind of retarded and thought that when someone replyied my post, I would recieve an e-mail... So I just discovered the answers today. I'll send Luis Gordo an e-mail right away, and post here as soon as the problem is solved, that I'm sure that won't take long.

Regards

The answer to this issue is located in the troubleshooting section of the Program Manual:

Select "." (instead of ",") as the decimal position in the Regional Settings (Windows/Control Panel).

This should solve the problems described with Positioning.
