As suggested a new toppic.

Eric, could you please add some daytime close ups of your ropelight and the way you fit it into your cockpit (including the curtains)?

Thanks,

JWS

Hmmm...not sure. I can take some photos but I dont think you're going to see much more than what's already showing. The reason being, it's pretty dark already in the sim hangar and the "curtains" are black so the detail probably wont be very obvious. Also, remember that the ropelight is for me a temp solution to provide some light in the cockpit since I dont have map lights installed, so therefore they dont really fit into the cockpit but are simply draped over the shell framework at the backwall. I will try to get some more photos soon with the lights on but I cannot say how quickly. Most of my time lately is devoted to making panels.

Then, I ran across this material called "Flex-O-Lite".

Here is the link:

http://www.flexolite.net/lightsheet.htm

Look at the item called "sheet". It looks doable... There are no prices listed on the website. I plan to call or email them in the future to try this. In the mean time, if someone wants to get in touch with them before me and do this, just post your results...

John

John, might even be something for backlighting MIP panels??

Eric, I understand. I'll leave it up to you.
