StepOnTheBall

Hi everybody, from Lakeland, Florida (near Tampa), and home of Sun N' Fun.

I've been getting excited by watching all these folks in the "big boy" sims doing World Flight. Building a 737 cockpit has long been on my wish list, but I've never been sure I want to invest the money. I mostly fly the 737 in virtual reality, so it scratches the itch, so to speak. But, I've joined this community in hopes of planning and pricing a full non-motion 737 cockpit. If nothing else, learning about the parts and pieces will be fun.

I'm an IT manager by trade in the mobile app space for large retailer, and at one point in my career actually wrote code. So, I'm hoping that may come in handy. I'm also an ABC (all but check ride) student pilot.

Good to meet you all!

Ryan

Howdy StepOnTheBall!

Welcome to the community! Appreciate your support on the World Flight route this year!

There are lots of 737 builders here that can help you. Best of luck with your build and share your progress.

Welcome aboard (to the madness)
Less than 4 years to retirement......

Thanks guys!

Well, I ordered an Mega 2560 on Friday night, it was delivered Saturday evening, and I just hooked up my first switch to it to make the left probe heat toggle on the Zibo. Pretty nifty. A journey of 1,000 mile starts with a single step.

And there it is! That's where it begins. Great job. Copy and paste and work on the next switch.

well done.

Welcome to the madness.  You should have stopped by WorldFlight...  and seen it first hand.
I'm in Riverview with a full-size sim - let me know if you want to go for a spin.
