Cockpitbuilders.com is proud to announce the creation and first Inductees of our "HALL-OF-FAME" forum.  This forum is a "Reply Only" forum, but is designed to create a historical record of the people who have made a difference in this hobby.

Matt Ford & James Price both of California, USA.

Both Matt & James have not only been pioneers in this hobby, but they have indeed become leaders by example.  Without intentionally creating a wake of hobbyists following in their footsteps, many of us wouldn't be where we are today without them. James and Matt didn't have "Flightdeck Solutions Sys Cards", nor did they have "Plug-n-play Overheads" or "USB Radios" All they had was each other, and a dream to create what seemed to be impossible.

Working together, Matt and James have had to write their own software base controlling the 737 system hardware through the EPIC interface.  Both have spent endless hours and many sleepless nights creating the 737 logic in its entirety.  If you ask James or Matt if the reward was worth the effort I guarantee either would respond that they have the ultimate and most complete simulator experience available, and probably the biggest benefit is they both use 100% real 737 parts in their setups.

Attached with permission, please find a short presentation of their accomplishments.

Hi Trevor et al,

Just wanted to thank you for the honor of being recognized like this. It's a cool idea. There are certainly many folks here with outstanding projects, and I hope they get recognition someday as well. In many respects this group of builders have far exceeded me in several areas of cockpit building, and I continue to be amazed at how far all this has come. I continue to learn everyday.

This is a great group here and I am excited to be a part of it.

Keep up the great work!

James Price

Congrats guys!! Whats an awesome idea Trev!

Its nice to finally have you over here Matt and James!  Like most everyone else here you both have been a huge inspiration and the main reason i got into cockpit building. I still remember the hours looking and reading over your websites gathering as much info as i could and just waiting for the next updates. Good times!

Matt, had a great time flying your sim for the first time and of course thanks always for the warm hospitality! I still remember coming over with the other pilot i was flying with at the time Charlie.. I remember Randy being there as well and we all had a great time flying and laughing away!

James, we never got a chance to meet in person however i know we at least talked on the phone at least once.  If you remember i was out in Livermore on a trip and at the time i thought you still had your sim in a hangar somewhere out there.. Somehow we chatted and unfortunately you had just moved it i believe.  Anyhow hope to meet up someday and have a chance to do some flying with you.  Oh and im sure we talk all the time on the radio.. I do a bunch of 737 flying out there in CA with Continental.. Now United unfortunately :)

Well congrats again!
