Title: Cockpit Structure
Post by: Steenos on March 11, 2018, 03:54:52 PM
Since I have the opencockpits overhead plus I had the shell for the overhead from opencockpits I'm thinking I should go with this cockpit structure then build off of it.

Do you think that's possible? Or do I need to buy more of a shell?

Jason, it all depends on where you want to go with this.
If funds are an issue, I would buy this and get up and flying.  You can then build interior liners or if need be shell around it as needed.

Keep in mind that the exterior view of your shell is useless, unless you plan to hang out the window while flying.

Just my two cents

YOu might consider John's (blueskydriver) offerings.  He has a couple of options available, and you might even be able to convince him to throw in his TQ!

Hi Jason and Warren,

Warren is exactly right and I sent you a PM eariler with my thoughts on using, plus building around the OC unit. And, like I've mentioned before, just come visit me and you will get a much better picture. No pressures on buying anything, I don't care about that part unless you ask; instead, I am just trying too help you out (like I try too do for everyone).

In regards to selling the B737TQ shown in the pictures, I would consider selling it with everything else together, and like I said "the more you buy altogether the better the pricing" At this point I am trying to hold out for one big deal, even though I got members waiting if I break it up and sell piece by piece...

If you want, jump in your vehicle and come now! I just got out of bed and will be up until 2-3 AM at least, so no worries about it being to late.

John

Here is my Craigslist ad:

https://lacrosse.craigslist.org/vgm/d/flight-simulator-airplane/6528415746.html

You'll notice the prices are higher there, that's because I only lowered them on Cockpit Builders website; being a member of the CB has lots of advantages...
