Has anyone successfully used fs2phigets5 with a Phidget card to interface with FSX?

If so...  I was wondering if you have had success using the built-in FS2Phidget Emulator to control FS Offsets, without the actual Phidget card?

I will be receiving my Phidget 8/8/8 card soon.  But in the meantime, I wanted to explore some of the Phidget's capabilities (which seem extensive with FSUPC control) by using the emulator function.

Basically, I have found that the FS2Phidgets Emulator works fine, but the FS Variables library don't show up, so I can't control Offsets via FSUIPC.  Phidget21 has been successfully loaded along with FS2Phidgets, but the FS Variables don't show within the application.  I can locate the FS Variables libraries, and confirm that they are present in the same directory as FS2Phidgets, but it is a mystery to me why they don't show within the Emulator.  Any ideas?

BTW - My goal is to use the Phidget 8/8/8 card with FS2Phidget software to motorize a 737NG TQ.  This is of course, something that has been done before.  I have scoured the posts on this and other Forums, and there is lots of information on motorizing TQs, but almost nothing about FS2Phidgets and related software interface.  Any help here would be appreciated.
