Phil, by the sounds of things it is like you are plugging the hole in the dam with your finger, and you know what will happen if you let go!  ROFL..

Trev, u hit the nail on the head there, but its not my finger im using, need those for the panels  ;)

Efe, another thing still on the "to do" list, every year after Lelystad i spend 2 weeks just stripping the machines (admits rather strip down the blonde on the right of the above pics) down, service clean and re build, at the moment the place is a bombsite, a couple of days and i will attack that, the I.T. monkeys managed to destroy it so its not just a case of uploading new products but a lot of behind the scene work to be done also.

Ian, you do live quite close to me, pop down for a brew one evening if you wish

Cheers guys ;)

Hmmm, looking at that picture again, I can think of one or two things.  ;) ;D

And just to keep on topic, hey Phil, have you been working on expanding the 767 overhead panel line yet?

hey Henry, nice visual, are you happy with it?... specs please?
Cheers

Hi Jack

Yep, very happy with it. Matrox TH2G (digital) to 3 22inch LCD's, running at 5040x1050 (which means I can run these LCD's at their native resolution of 1680x1050). One thing to be beware of is that to run at 5040x1024 the LCD's must be able to handle a refresh rate of 57Hz ... some people have been caught on that.

I prefer LCD's over projectors due to the sharp and clear image that I can get (no disrespect to the guys running projectors ..... this is just my opinion). I will eventually start using Wideview and more LCD's to expand. I suppose one big knock against using multiple LCD's is all the borders you end up seeing, but after seeing Angus visuals, it is not a problem.... after a while you don't notice anymore.

Henry

After all the DC9 or MD-80 had this arrangement of front windows!

You mean that the monitors should be able to handle 57hz precisely or a minimum of 57 ?
Sorry if it is a dumb question! :idiot:

Jack

andarlite

They gotta be able to run at 57Hz. Check this thread for a list of monitors that are known not to work and those that do:

Henry your parts are being shipped tomorrow mate :)

Okay, finally got around to getting the old website back up to speed, just need to make stuff to put up there, including the rest of the overhead for the 767, and some parts of a grey'ish colour  :idiot:

Dzus are up there also http://www.simvionics.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=25

but if you do fancy some just put a note saying what aircraft there intended for so i can get the colour right, infact you can have any colour you like, bright pink if it floats your boat, you can even have the panels to match ;)

Have fun chaps

Atomic_Sheep

How good is this dzus solution? Sure they look convincing, but do you need to constantly re tighten the panel all the time?
