Hi
I am hoping to increase the quality of my visual experience when night flying - particularly in relation to how far out I can see city lights from (and how much ground they cover).
I am not sure what, if any FSX settings will impact on this.

As things currently stand, if I am flying into Sydney or Melbourne for example, I dont start to see cityscape lights until I get fairly low (I would have to check exactly but somewhere between 4000 and 6000 feet I think) and even then they dont cover particularly large areas of the ground. So as you continue to fly, more lights "pop up" in front of you which looks a bit cheap and nasty IMHO.

So, any advice on whether there are any settings I can tweak to change this behavior. Is there anyone that finds their light coverage is very good - and if so from what height etc. etc?

My display hardware is a moderate spec I5 with 2GB Radeon card - I am willing to look at upgrading these if it would make a difference - but I get the feeling this is more of a software/settings thing rather than a hardware thing.

Thanks,
Rob
