Title: Tablet for the cockpit
Post by: Bob Reed on October 21, 2014, 08:41:19 AM
I just put a I7 Windows 7 touch screen tablet in the mail for the cockpit. This tablet was donated to the cockpit for our events. People are getting excited about it! Lets make some noise!

lol Sam. The package is a pdf for every wf14000 through wf14042 the pdf for each flight has all the sids and stars and taxi diagrams for departure and arriving airport plus all the runway charts. Basically all the jepp charts for each flight.

So we put all the PDFs on the tablet and every pilot/fo can bring them up in the cockpit. Kind of a pdf electronic flight bag.

Thanks Bob, I guess I wait for the tablet, problem is that airlines requires to have a paper copy, if that hasn't change with so much technology support.

LOL @ Sam.  Thats funny.  Each PDF(flight) and there are 45 is around 139 Pages LOL We would have to kill a lot of trees and have stacks of binders in the cockpit LOL
