Pretty much everything.  I had 15 crates total.  I estimate total weight including about 2000lbs of pro books and gear to be about 17,000lbs.  I either maxed out my authorization or might have even gone a bit over.  Oh well.

I'll be over there two to four years this trip depending on my next assignment.

Next up is to find a four or five bedroom house in Stuttgart with plenty of room for my sim and tools.  Then I have to find someone in Stuttgart to cut, weld, and assemble my new base.  I packed up all the steel I need.  Then it's time to reassemble and continue building

For all those interested, Tyler and I will have a demonstration system with us for the interface we have been working on. We will set this up in our hotel room.

So, I can't wait until Friday and the weekend.  I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone.  Gary and I will be arriving at YYZ at about 15:45 and hopefully plan on being at the hotel around 17:30 - 18:00.

Where is everyone planning on meeting Friday night?

Dave C.

Hey Dave. I am just as excited. I doubt it will take you that long to get out of YYZ. I will be at the hotel by 1400 and my plan is to hang out there till we go to FDS.I will have my truck (can take 5) with me over to FDS. If you want my cell number PM me and I will give it to you. You guys should be 30-45 tops in rush hour give or take after u get out of the airport. Make sure you get a flat rate from the airport limo before you get into it. Cause after your in it they can name their price.

Once u get to the hotel and check in I can take u guys over if you want me to wait for ya. My room will be registered under my name so get the front desk to call me.

Either way we wont be far.

Looking forward to it.

Just scanning through this thread.... Who all is staying at the Holliday In Express? And we need a way to connect once we are all there.

fsaviator

I'm a the Holiday Inn Express.  I'll be there Friday afternoon.  I'll look like my avatar (without the boom headset and cessna)

Maybe we should coordinate to link up at a certain time, with an additional location/time for later arrivals

OK.  Just re-read Jack's original post outlining the agenda.  FDS after 17:00.  Sorry for missing it.  I'm also staying at the Holiday Inn Express.  Thanks for the offer Trev.  I am renting a car, so I will also have room for a few passengers if need be.

Man, THAT is funny  ;D ;D  ;D 30-45 tops??? Obviously living in the arctic has affected your sense of timing. I would conservatively double that figure especially at rush hour, which is just about any time in Toronto, especially on a Friday.

I agree Friday afternoons are the worst, but from the airport, 407 to the 400 and north to Newmarket shouldn't nearly take more than that. LOL  But its all good, it takes what it takes.  We will still wait for them.

For any visitors, Hwy 407 is a Toll Route and if you are in a rental you will be billed a video fee, mileage and maybe even an Admin fee from your rental provider. I'd stick to the main Hwy's,  409 to 401 then 404 northbound to Newmarket. I would allow more time to get thru traffic.

Hi Trev,

I will be on 407 going from Cambridge to FDS around 4:15 to be there around 5pm. So if somebody need ride I can pick them up at Pearson area or close.

Just managing expectations Trev. Better to expect crap and then be pleasantly surprised than the other way around :-) . Still, 30 minutes would only work in a helicopter :-)

By the way, notifications not working again. Sorry :-(

Other then the individuals whom have already PM'd me their cell #'s If there is anyone else that would like to do that, I would be happy to keep everyone in the loop as to what is going on.  I will likely be coordinating this all from the Hotel. (As its illegal to Text and Drive, and not use Hands Free in Ontario)... LOL

See you all there.

Honest folks, we are all still alive. So much has happened this weekend and one more day. We have LOTS of pictures and even some videos! There will be lots to tell once we are all home. Just too busy to stop!

Bob Reed

Well I am home and Trevor is about 45 minutes from his house. LOTS to talk about. All I can say right now is if you missed this, you missed a good one! Probably will not be much tonight but keep looking for the next few days.........

fsaviator
