Hi all
I have a gauge I would like to use on my panel. The gauge is showing on my panel but it is not working.
What files are gauges connecting to to get them to work is it the mdl, air, or config file
Cheers
Rhys
If you're talking about FSX or P3D then it's normally a combination of the panel.cfg, "gauge".xml and "aircraft".mdl. These items will specify the specific gauge.
But it will also depend on how the panel was built by the developer. Some use a cab file that also controls how the gauge operates.
To add gauges to a panel is not easy to do without a degree of inside knowledge. You can't simply copy and paste the gauge files.
The only other way is to use a third party product like Panel builder, or Airmanager, but these are mainly used for hardware installations.
If you want to get it working I suggest looking on line in the aircraft developers forums.
Thanks Joe
I'm working on my 2d panel for my cockpit
The needle on one of the gauges is reading the wrong way
Instead of pointing up its pointing down
It's in a cabinet file

If you really want to do it yourself, this site explains it in great detail. It's not for the feint hearted but it's fairly comprehensive.
