Well, I got a call today that I'm getting an offer at GE for Sr Program Manager of Mission System.

Healthy raise in a bad economy is good, moving out of SoCal and the crazy cost of living is good, but it snows in Michigan (I wonder if Peter offers a rust through warranty on my MIP?).  Means the wife, who also works at Boeing, and I will be apart for a bit until she finds something, or starts using that law degree finally.

Hmm, stay at Boeing in SoCal or move to GE in MI.......this is gonna be a hard choice!  hmmmmmmm
Less than 4 years to retirement......

I hear ya man!

Do you have kids?

Are you tenured at your current job and not likely to lose your job there?

Do you have any family at the new place, and if not, is it a big deal to not be around family for long periods of time throughout the year?

Does the new job offer anything other than a pay increase?

Will the new job offer the same kind of satisfaction?

These are just some thoughts. This is a big move! Just thought I'd throw them out there since you asked :-)
