Am building atr72 - coming along smoothly - though a bit slow at times
Using OC and Gauge composer
I've got the central engine instruments designed and working
but before I start the work - has any soul got a working Captains panel instruments for ATR in Gauge composer - or indeed for any other plane
- I have (and indeed use for flying) the Roberto G's glass cockpit (from atr72-500 project site) at present but these are written in yet another software language and so are not modifyable by me. Dont get me wrong Roberto's panel as great but some aspects not coded and I would like to continue working in a single system (the SIOC (OC) / IOCP (GC)  systems meld seamlessly and seem to have a dramatic improvement on frame rates over standard software.

I have a 1/2 size overhead mimic panel built and 1/2 fitted out and being used to confirm software quality as well as 1/2 size TQ mimic with micro switches as will be used in the full size item for same tests - all going great

OK here goes

my engine gauges running on FSX against flight1 atr  (engine 2 started and at G.I.)
the numbers on left are just temp variables to help with gauge linearity tests

O/H mimic and T/q mimic

OC units

Oh god Mikeh... I just realised I forgot all about posting your CD's because I was feeling so crappy at the time.

Feeling better now so I'll post them tomorrow.

Sorry and all that (I have a mind like a sieve).

I've just finished paying for my panels for my ATR72 so will probably be getting them in a few weeks.

Ian,
Tks for the thought - John passed this to me a short while ago - V useful Doc - but size is like the Flight1 ATR manual - plenty of bedtime reading !!

Cool thing about the FCOM is that it includes a lot of extra bits that the Flight 1 manual leaves out. Great for background information.

My problem is I'm an info junkie... the more I can get the more I can put into the design of the sim.

Oh and Mikeh, CD's are in the post.

cd's received - great - shows a lot I was looking for
do you wish them back - I can copy the simpit ones and return

Oops... Only just found this post.

Nah, I've got them all copied so I don't need them back. Pass them onto any other ATR 72 fan.

You are right in the fact that they show a lot of info that you are looking for. They have helped me a lot.

Just an update here - the ATR lookin good - the first batch of software (for 1/2 the overhead and the TQ all working and been tested on my EGHI - EGPH - EGHI flights and no issues. HAve built the next breakout cable so now down to the next 20. The software for the captains panel coming together - just the RMI to do now. have flown using Roberto's atr gauges but as I needed to add some features and I understood he didn't want then reverse engineered - I got down to learning gauge composer and got them done. The centre panel (engines and standby instruments plus some additions such as flaps indicator etc all finished and look good. Got them working ok from second computer with fswide etc. Must say- am really thrilled with the cpu hits using main cpu on FS + out of the window view + captains panel (mon 2) and machine 2 on Centre console and FSCommander + Opencockpits kit - I reckon its about time to start cutting up wood !!!!! - am going to build the captains side and centre console + pedestal and overhead only. leaving out the co-pilot for now

I've had to delay my build due to doing decorating and clearing out loads of stuff from my home. I'm a serious clutterbug and if I want to build a decent sim I really need to get rid of 90% of my junk. Problem is I know that when I get rid of it I'm going to need whatever I chucked. I think I'm getting to be a bit of a hoarder...

Sounds like you are really moving on with your build Mike. My order got delayed because part of my order got missed (the EFIS panels either side of the CDU on the pedestal). Easy mistake with all the changes that was going on plus Ruscool having aftershocks still. Personally I'm glad I don't live in Christchurch... Some of the people there are moving away because of it... So waiting a few days extra isn't that much of a hassle in comparison.
