Title: 3D Modeling/Printing - 737 Throttle and Cockpit
Post by: StarRaider on August 09, 2014, 09:33:33 AM
Hey Everyone!

So, I'm still pretty new to the forums and the cockpit building realm, but I have started to design some parts to cover my Saitek Setup.

Just starting working on a 3D model of the throttle that I will use to cover my Saitek levers.

I'm scouting the forums for information on the throttle section right now and hope to start working on other aspects of the 737. Always welcome to receive comments and feedback!

For the throttle part, I plan for it to slide over the lever. It won't have working buttons on the model right away. Those are to come in the future once I have a more sophisticated setup. I will just add screws in the parts where noted to add for the extra effect. I don't have the money to get a real 737 quadrant, but this is probably the next best step.

Thanks for looking

The way is the goal.

Many of the cockpit builders had rebuild their setup many times.

I made all my parts by my self with a cnc milling machine.

Now i think about a 3d printer.
keep on.

Best Regards/ Beste Grüße
Thomas

I think I'm at a point where I'm fairly satisfied with the model...

I have included my reference image...

Got more done on the model tonight. I am fully building this model as a scaled, working piece. As soon as it comes of the 3D printer, it will just be a matter of sanding and painting.
