I'm not sure that I've asked this before, but does anybody know where I might buy an APU start switch?

Obviously it needs to be a OFF/ON/MOM.

Everywhere I've looked only has ON/OFF/ON or the reverse.

Any help would be appreciated,

Ebay is the answer  :) Do a search on on/off/mom

Hi

I just bought one last week on Ebay.

Locking toggle, pull to release. Locks in the ON position, spring loaded to the start position

[ebay]http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/310395187436[/ebay]

They still have a lot left. :)

I actually bought all the correct style of Honeywell locking toggle switches for the whole flight deck, all brand new, on Ebay

Here's the Carling data sheet (same switches as FDS uses)

http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/65/Carling-TS-F-Series-7848.pdf

6FA53 is an Off-None-(On)
6FC57 is an On-Off-(On)

Mouser has them all cheap in the States.....

Thanx David.

I ordered 2 of those. Will see if they do the trick.

And Nat, Happy New Year, mate. See you've got the sim flying, huh?
I tried FDS, Nat, but I think Peter told me to check the electrical suppliers.

I'm moving to a new house in the next few weeks with a new dedicated room for the sim, with enough room for a wrap around screen set-up like yours, Nat.

Again, I see that there is ON/OFF/MOM.

Can you just use the ON as an off and the OFF as an on?

I like the look of the mouser ones, they are the larger toggle switches, too.

Thanx Guys,

Happy New Year Coops

Youve definitely been bitten by the curse of the Sim Bug!

Not happy about this plasma talk  ;D

Depends on the software.  On ProSim, if you have three functions to a switch and assign two, it assumes if it doesn't see a switch in one of the two assigned positions it must be in the not assigned state, so yes you could

Nat Crea

Yep same goes with InterfaceIT...you can assign OFF as ON and vice verca.

Nat

That's exactly what I wanted to hear...or read.

Thanx a heap, guys.

And don't worry Nat, I'll be comin at ya soon to pick ya brains about a three projector-curved screen set-up.

Thanx Warren, but I ended up buying a Cutler Hammer switch. It's a beauty.

Cost quite a few bucks, but hey, you ain't gonna take it with you, are you? (the money I mean, not the sim....)
