I am wondering if anyone has tested the Routes for WF?   I downloaded from the Australian WF site the Route Flight Plans in FSX.  This yields a PLN extension. but Sin-Avionics (which is Sam's setup) requires a CFP extension to the text file information in order for it to load properly in the FMC.

When I changed the extension from pln to cfp, the Route loaded in the FMC correctly, but the waypoints were all messed up and criss crossed - basically unusable.

Along these lines...   Is there a published Route Waypoint listing like we had last year that we can enter in manually if necessary?

Looking forward to seeing everyone at WF.   George and I arrive in Tampa Tuesday night, ans will be ready for flying from Wednesday.

Mike.

Our flight dispatcher will be providing this information up to 2 hours before departure. When you arrive for your flight dispatch will provide you with the manual plan. However all the worldflight routes will be exported via topcat to the simA FMC.

Hi Trev,  are we able to export them via topcat to the sim-a fmc? If yes, how you know we can? I've been waiting for that information from pfpx support. Please advise.

Trevor Hale

I will have to look at that when I get there, but as far as I know it is possible..  But maybe the simA format is not supported.  I was under the impression that it was capable.

I could be smoking glue though.

Hey, better save some of that glue for when you get here. I am sure we will need it....  :idiot:

For sure Sam, PFPX can export in default FSX(P3D) Format, and I am sure Sim A can import the default format, so if nothing else we can try that first.  Sim A is not an approved format at this time.

If I get a chance when I am there, i will program a flight and save it to the database and send them a sample of the file to see if they can do something about it.

If you export from PFPX to Sim-A in FS9.1 format it works.  I've had success with it at least.  FSX format doesn't work.

Give it a try.
