I guess WF Perth crew, (VOZ738), have it easy because we are all together and "train" every Monday night, when I say train I mean we drink lots of beer and do a few flights! I am very lucky to have some very competent PC techs in my crew who keep the sim flying smoothly. My wife calls us the "Nerds of a feather"!!

We draw numbered marbles out of a bag 1 to 9, then number 1 gets to pick his first of five Captain's flights, then number 2 etc. until 45 Captains are decided. Then we repeat the process to select the 45 First Officer flights. The whole process takes about an hour then if individuals want to swap flights they work it out between themselves. It's $300 a head donation to participate and $50 each to stock the galley with beer and munchies for the week.

Two weeks to go....bring it on!! Cheers Gwyn

That's an awesome way of doing it Gwyn. Only problem with us is that not everyone can make it for the week. Most can only make a day or two. Further to that some have work commitments while they are there and can only fit in a few hours here and there. Not to mention most of us live a flight away from the Sim.

Sucks. But at least we can make it work lol.

Looking forward to it.

I wish we all can practice every week too, or at least have like a weekend event more often, that way everyone will be familiar with the cockpit layout and much easier to schedule flights, I agree with Trevor, not all of us are as fortunate to live near the sim and it takes a tremendous effort to attend a couple of days for the majority of us, not to mention the monetary cost of travel and hotel, My family and I thanks everyone attending and participating to this event, let's do it on a safe and organized manner like we always do, looking forward to a great WF2016!!!!
