Joe, my last 727 was built around the hardware I had contructed for the 727. Now that I'm building a full size 727 I'd like this to be more accurate that the previous sim.
I have no reference for the relationship between the glareshield/MIP and where the forward windscreen and #2 window post meet.
If you could place an imaginary line from the lower left corner of the forward windcreen to the lower right corner of the right windscreen, how far forward or aft of this imaginary line would the front face of the fire rack be in inches or CM? Or the front edge of the glareshield over the fire rack? This is very difficult to judge when all I've found are views of the cockpit taken from behind the center control stand.
The next step of this build is going to be the airframe so I can get the overhead mounted and start the re-wiring.
Without this reference datum I'm dead in the water. Since the 727 is so different than the 737NG, those dimensions and references are nearly worthless for the 727.
I'd be much obliged if you can help.
Michael,
Do you want to drive up and crawl in mine? You'll get all the measurements that you will ever need in one trip...
John
Thanks for the offer John but it wouldn't be possible.
I actually do have many dimensions and photo references from Joe, but this one I don't have is critical to getting the rest of the sim correctly built.
Mike
I just saw this post!. When I fly this weekend I'll get those measurments for you. Make a list of what you need to get you started and also remember to fell free to ask me "Q" once you "ENROUTE" ;)

Much appreciated!
Hey Joe, any information for me yet?
Thatnks for the photos Joe. That photo of the two wondows meeting with the glareshield in place is just what I needed.
I'm going to start cutting wood again tomorrow.
Thanks! :idiot:
