I was going to reply in Jack's older thread regarding Fire Handles (which was a great tutorial) but it's been more than 30 days, so here's a new one instead  :)

Just a couple of photos of the new Fire Handles we've made for the ATR72. They're not fully functional yet, still need to do the lighting of the handles themselves and more wiring etc. but these pics hopefully give a good representation of where they're currently at.

Thanks! The next month or so will be spent primarily on getting more of the overhead operational, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that's all going to be done.

I should've taken a newer photo with the fire handles actually fitted  :-[ , but this is the most recent one we have.

We're just in the process of completing the installation of three new LCD screens for all of the flight instruments too, so once they're in and have had some new panels (yet to be made) placed over top, I'll take some updated pics of the entire sim.

Wow! That is nice. What aircraft are you building again?

Aye, an ATR72 indeed.

It'll most closely resemble a 72-500, although because a lot of the construction has been done from photos (with the occasional luxury of being able to take measurements and get feedback from some pilot friends of ours), it'll likely end up a composite of various different models in some areas.

Its awesome, I can honestly say I love the ATR far more then the Dash 8.  But the two serve the same purpose.  ATR seems to be much newer technology then any of the Dash's I have been on.  I did a flight on a 72-200 (I think) into Miami International before, and I would have to say they are very tight LOL.  A  vomit commet even LOL

If it ever goes full-motion, we'll use that as the plane name on the door!  ;D

Maybe, but I would entrust my life to a Dash in whatever Canadian winter can throw at us, (would not say that for an ATR.)  Maybe less techy but bulletproof and a joy to fly anywhere even to remote icy short runways... Would be my first choice as a personal aircraft.
My own opinion...of course (lol)  but Dean's sim is nevertheless amazing!

LOL..  sooo true.  Although, it sure sounds like every Dash I have been on has a million loose screws LOL

Well it's taken us longer to get here than expected, but the fire handles are finally operational. There should be a short video below of them being tested, along with the overhead landing gear indicators (they're much harder to see, but if you know where you're looking you might be able to make them out ... :)
