Just starting a thread on my build story.

History: I started with just a basic PC and FS2002. Enjoyed it so I jumped on FS2004 and FSX as they came out.  With that I added the basics, ch yoke, throttle, and rudder pedals. Eventually 'went big and got a triple head to go and three monitors along with some saitek radio, switch, and multi panels.  Fast forward to today and I've decided this hobby is my passion and I need to take it to the next level.
So far I've done things in a couple phases.

Phase 1: New PC.  I7-8700k, GeForce 1080ti, 32gb ram, 256gb pcie m.2 sad, and a 500gb data sad. Also jumped up to a curved 40" monitor.

Phase 2: how about an Opencockpits MCP? Cool. But still not good enough!

Phase 3: Flightsimparts MCP, EFIS, Overhead, Aft Overhead. Flight Deck solutions InterfaceIT cards, Cockipitsimparts overhead and mcp gauges...should all be here by the end of the month.

Phase 4: An adventure out to Wisconsin to visit John and hopefully come home with some goodies.

Phase 5: (wife requirement) sell some of my other stuff to enclose my hobby room and before I can buy more stuff.

Phase 6: Projectors

Phase 7: Fine tuning.

I'll post below with pictures and additional bits as I work through these phases.

Bob Reed

My biggest recommendation...... Keep something flyable or you run the risk of losing sight on what the goal is and in a few months we will see all this stuff for sale here. We don't want that. Oh we want your stuff.... We just don't want to see you go....

Jason L

Yep.  I think that was pre Phase 1...to keep it going.
