Title: Using IS for teaching over the internet
Post by: mk6488 on June 01, 2011, 06:52:36 AM
Hi guys

Not sure if this has been asked before, though couldn't see it any where else...

Is it possible to connect my PC, which is running the Instructor station to another PC online, which is running FS9 or FSX and control their aircraft with my IS?

That would be really usefull!

Cheers for now

Mike

Hi Mike,

The ability to do that with iStation depends on whether WideFS from Peter Dowson can do it or not, since iStation relies on Wide FS to communicate with FS from a remote computer.

I contacted Peter Dowson once with this question and he replied that in theory it would be possible though it had never been tried. I have not had the chance yet to test this out.  If you test it out, let us know how it goes.

Best regards,
