Title: WF2019
Post by: Vincent T. on July 25, 2019, 04:09:49 AM
Hi Pilots,

Any update on WF 2019? I don't see a route yet on the https://www.worldflight.com.au/ops/schedule/ (https://www.worldflight.com.au/ops/schedule/) page either.

Am really looking forward to this event again. Trevor, your earlier post of 6 years and going, wow, we made so much of a contribution to our charity as well, apart from our communion as friends!

Regards,
Vincent

There is a proposed route, but the Route gods are in the US at Oshkosh I think. Once they get back home, and finalize the route (there is a draft in the WF Official Teams usergroup on FB) , we should have it here in a month or so.

Hi Guys, looking forward to seeing you this year , things are progressing SLOWLY but I'm happy to say that is looking better than expected, new building is up, this week we had FPL install new pot for 3-phase power, final electrical inspection is on the 30th, following weekend is interior partitions installation etc, we are planning to have the simulator installed a few weeks before November, not sure at this time how well setup the new building would be first week of November but we're working hard on getting it done, we appreciate your support.
Best regards,
Sam and family!

Sam, you and your family are incredible. I don't know how you do it. I can barely find time to wipe my a_ _,
Let alone build a building, build a business, and run a dynamic family.
Congrats on the progress. Hope to see it soon.

It's because Sam and his family are the most incredible people I have ever met.  Sam Loves this community and clearly it shows.

Hey Sam,

Karen and I were talking about your shed, since we had ours built, and we're wondering what size yours is, as well as why did you get three overhead doors?

Are you planning for more then one simulator, or are you using your building for the simulator and your business equipment? Or, are you just thinking way ahead...after simulators?

Also, did you install in-floor heating, and what type of AC are you going with? Maybe, you've seen my posts about my new Mr Cool 36k btu mini spilt unit? If you haven't decided on yours, I strongly suggest you go the same mini split route...be it Mr Cool or another brand, you will absolutely love this thing!

Got ours running a few days ago and it's keeping a 40'x60'x12' shed at the setting of 70 degrees and not over working either. It was 86 outside and yet, it felt really nice in the shed. The other key thing is it removes moisture from the room; I was previously running a 3 gallon dehumidifier and it'd be full within 24 hours, everyday.

Okay, I am way off track of this post, but I am just thinking about the comfort level for you and the guys during WF2019. Plus, I am just curious too see how you handle these issues...

I'm back in for part of it this year.  Taking the family on vacation in the area.

Plan on departing by the 6th as I have to be on a flight to Cairo on the 8th and on to the Dubai Airshow the following week. Busy month but looking forward to it.

Thank you guys for all your positive comments, Trevor is right, I love this community and I'm very lucky to had found you guys, I wish things would have run the way I planned but Mother Nature and my wallet got on the way, I have to thank my wife for her unconditional support and patience, I also had a tremendous boost of energy on the two previous WF when a small group of very dedicated guys from this community showed their support, you know who you are guys! Thank you one more time.

John Blueskydriver, my shed is 40x80x21 height, I'm planning to install a 10ton 3phase A/C unit for the warehouse, first and second floor rooms, lol, No heated floors down here! 3- Overhead doors because the sim and office are located towards the back half of the building and the front half by the overhead doors is going to be a mechanic shop to work on my cars, trucks, and landscaping machines, or maybe in the future one of you guys wish to donate a full cockpit to Worldflight USA team and then I'll have to sacrifice one O/H door, got to be prepared!

Anyhow, is always a pleasure to interact with this community and no matter what, always remember you have a friend in Sarasota or should I say Bradenton? That's right I'm on the other side of the Sarasota county line.

Looking forward to seeing you guys soon!

Cheers!
