Title: 26VAC 400Hz
Post by: kattz on April 24, 2020, 04:26:09 AM
Good morning -

So I've picked up two Kratos gauges from Fleabay - one APU EGT (probably Airbus...?) and one ex-747 brake pressure gage.  I spoke with the OEM yesterday and the brake pressure gage uses 26VAC 400Hz (and the lamps are 5VAC 400Hz...???)  I have 115V/400Hz available, but not these other voltages.

Does anyone have the circuit diagram for these that they could PM to me?

Should I try to find a small transformer, or just rip and strip - convert to stepper?

Also, I FINALLY got my hands on that $%^& large printer that the telephone-style interphone mounts to.

Any ideas on the 26VAC question are appreciated.

Thanks.

Kev

Hey Kevin,

Might have the transformer you need... 115/400 to 28v aircraft transformer. Will let you know later tonight.

A while ago Rob provided a link to using the 400hz version of these power supplies in his sim.

Hmm... they do offer a 400hz inverter, but it's 24V... Wonder how much of a difference it would make.

you are starting to go down a black hole   imho   stay with steppers etc   your sim  life will be inflicted with less pain
