The continuous increase in the cost of general aviation has already been shown to be damaging the industry and the economy. So, now the FAA wants to further contribute to the problem. Tax dollars and other aviation fees already pay for these charts. And, for us here this is a real hit to virtual aviation since many of us rely on the access to online charts.
If you are interested in expressing your concern over this there is an online petition (http://"http://www.change.org/petitions/federal-aviation-administration-dont-charge-for-online-charts") that has been started to express concern over this to the FAA.
