Hi,

I have the new CPFlight MIP737ICS (full version), a really great piece of hardware.
All buttons, annunciators and gauges work fine with the CPFlight test utility.
But when used with PM, the gauges don't work nor display the actual position in PM.

Did someone already meet this issue and know how to solve it?
Thank you for your answers.

I recall an option in the MCP.ini file that you had to check off if you were using CPFlight hardware as well as the full CPFlight MIP. Obviously you need the mcppro to use this with anything right!

Thank you Trevor.
I will check this and report.

I use the MCP Pro.

Hi Trevor,

I checked the mcp.ini file and found some lines about the configuration of the CPflight MCP : here is as they are written :

UsePanel=On
                              / Set to On if the FS panel or remote
                              / programs are used for MCP interaction

CPFlightIP=
CPFlightPort= 0
                              / CP Flight IP Address and IP Port
                              / (default 4500)
CPFlightComm= 4
                              / CP Flight Comm Port
CPFlightIO=On
                              / Set CPFlightIO=Off to *disable*
                              / digital and analog input/output
DisableMIP=Off
                              / Set DisableMIP *disable* CPFlight
                              / MIP handling (e.g 737 sixpack troubleshooting)

The CPFlight Comm port is the right one.

I d'ont know if the the CPFlight IP Address and Port should be completed (and I don't know where to find those values).

Do you think that the line "UsePanel=On" can have some interaction with the hardware gauges in the CPFlight MIP ? Probably not.

Thank you for your kind help.

Regards,

Hi The IP address and Port Number would only be required if your cpflight hardware was connected via "Ethernet, or Network" Cables..  If you are not doing this, then you don't need to fill that in.   If your CPFLIGHT hardware is connected via Ethernet/Network cables then you will need to find out the addresses and put them in the correct spot.

Other than that, I wouldn't think the USE Panel=On would have anything to do with this, but You could easily test it by turning it off and trying it.

Looks like you have all the other stuff correctly set.

Perhaps you should drop an email to cpflight to ensure they support Project Magenta for the ICS Gauge.

Thanks Trev,

My CPFlight hardware is connected via USB and the COMM port number is the right one.

I have written to Carlos from CPFlight and we did some tests.
The gauges are working well with the CPFlight test utility.
They do support PM for the MIP and gauges.

I posted a support ticket to PM and sent them a mail about it but as usual with them I have no answer.

I think I could consider shifting to Prosim.
