Last november on the aviodrom show CPflight and FlyEngravity announced our new
ICS Plug & Play FWD and AFT overhead.
Meanwhile several of these have been shipped to our customers. #1 being used full time in the 6 axis motion simulator we build for Simsensation (www.simsensation.nl).
The new ICS overheads are a complete co-development from FLYengravity and CPflight.
Mail us for pricing.
Some key features:
FWD overhead:* PCB based, wiring is reduced to a minimum. The APEM switch version has no wiring at all (APEM switches mounted on the PCB), the Honeywell version only has wiring to the Honeywell switches..
* modular system, so maintenance friendly. seperate modules are connected through flatcables.
* One usb connection for the entire FWD and AFT overhead.
* Build in an aluminium powdercoated case
* Aluminium powdercoated frame with dzus replicas.
* Aluminium powdercoated backpanels
* Internally backlit lightplates. The lightplates are connected to the backpanels with a 2 pin connector.
* Plug and Play ICS interface: no need for any configuration. Natively supported by PMsystems, Flightdecksoftware and Prosim737
* Brightness of the backlit panels can be adjusted
* Functional solenoid startswitches
* Solenoid Yaw damper switch
* Solenoid wing anti ice switch
* Functional displays on the electrics panel
* Functional displays on the Pressurisation panel
* Functional Presurisation valve gauge
* All knobs included.
* Standard: APEM locking toggle switches. These look similar to the honeywell switches, but are slightly shorter and have a alumium cap.
* Optional: Honeywell locking toggle switches with white cap. The same ones as used in the real 737.
* Optional: All other gauges.
AFT Overhead:
* Connects to the FWD overhead, so one usb for the entire overhead.
* Build in an aluminium powdercoated case
* Aluminium powdercoated frame with dzus replicas.
* Aluminium powdercoated backpanels
* Plug and Play ICS interface: no need for any configuration. Natively supported by PMsystems, Flightdecksoftware and Prosim737
* Brightness of the backlit panels can be adjusted.
* Functional IRS with a custom made alfanumerical LCD display.
* Functional IRS keypad (when supported by the software)
* Functional LE flaps panel
* All modules functional, including EEC panel and radio management panel (when supported by the software).
* Optional: Oxy gauge

This must be absolutely brilliant for people in a rush, or people that dont have the skills for wiring, or the time to learn it. I like the idea very much, even if it removes some options for hardwiring certain functions.
Not an option for me, but for many builders this is exactly what they need.
:)
I'll rephrase Stef: my treasurer would never sign of on that budget. Slow and increimental is okay ;)

Very Nice! How about selling the start switches separately!
You would probably be off cheaper finding real ones.
I have seen cole starter switches for as little as 200 $ the last year.

Lets be honest here, if she was you FO, PIC and she calls "gear up" you would not be able to keep a straight face would you?
