Title: My 40-year project started for real
Post by: FSAddon_boss on January 06, 2022, 02:27:59 AM
Wanted to show you what I have done these past few months. Wanted a cockpit of sorts ever since I started the hobby back in 1976, so it took me a while to get the space, time and money to actually build it.
Then Covid threw various spanners in the wheels, together with moving to Italy, where lots of things cannot be sourced.

But.... I finally built my new PC beginning of last year, and then started to actually build my cockpit once I finished the old barn and the electricity in it.

Most pictures will speak for themselves.

I also want to thank many members on this forum for their help, suggestions and encouragement. I am nearing 70 now, and was getting very afraid I would never do it...... but here we are !!!  ;D

Nice job Francois.
As my wife says "age is only a number". All it takes is motivation.

The immersion while using physical controls is well worth the time taken to achieve it.
All the best
Joe

Nice progress!

The journey getting there in many ways is more enjoyable than the destination with this hobby!

Absolutely love to watch progress like this.  We build, make mistakes, rework and then enjoy.

Great to see you make it this far in a short time.

What a great reminder of how our Sims get started.  Persistence is key in any big project -- no matter how long it take.  Congratulations on hanging in there!
