Hallo,

I need some information (as always).

In a B738NG cockpit are the following audio connections:

1x 6,3mm jack in sidewall left and right (Pos. 1)
1x XLR 5 pin in side window unter the chartholder left and right (Pos. 2)

2x 6,3mm jack eyebrow window

optional 1X XLR 5 pin and 1x 6,3mm jack

confirm or did I forgot something?

so long, Thomas

Hi Tomas,

A few corrections:

The Jacks in the sidewalls are for Hand Mics, and are not 6.3mm, they are smaller - 5.25mm

Also in the eyebrow window liner, there is 1x 6.35mm jack for the headphones and 1x 5.25mm javk for the boom mic on each side.

The XLR 5 pin you show in Pos 1 is not an audio connection, it is the power and sense connection for the window heat in the opening side windows.

The XLR in the eyebrow liner is an option fitted by some airlines which replace the 2 separate Headphone/Boom mic connection with one XLR plug.  This can also be done with adaptor cables.

Hi Tomas,

A few corrections:
........ expressed very nice !

I suspect, that my version would be too easy!
I should have stayed with my lego building blocks.....B737 HC = barrel without ground

some other question:
"connection for the window heat in the opening side windows"
Where does the spiral cable?
Is it only connected, when window is open or always?

thanks and so long, Thomas

Does anyone have a resource for the volume and controls black bar in the photos for the mics?

Not sure, but if you refer to my pics, it is a real aviation  intercom which you can find en EBay for $50 ±

Correct, this is for the side window heat, and is connected at all times.
