Hello,

I am looking for OEM part for my B737 frame
I would only need the 2 panels "control and lights" (vertical and horizontal)

Thank you in advance,
Guy

mickc

What model frame do you have

I think it's a 737-300 but i beleve it's possible to manage the adaptation :

You will have a hard time locating those two lightplates , many differences.
The other panels would fit no prob.
Can be done though, check with Nick at APHIS

As Jack said, many differences.   As well as a different number of holes, some are in a slightly different spot.

Attached is a pic of the NG frame for comparison.

You can get them, Phil from Simvionics makes NG ones to fit the classic frame.  Not a cheap or quick exercise though.

Oui, c'est un projet compliqué
Nick n'a pas ces panneaux

Phil's panels are the Rolls Royce of panels  :2cw:

<  some are in a slightly different spot >

Which holes are you referring to ?

mickc

I cant post a drawing because its not mine to post, but these are the holes in question

Mounting screw hole next to CALL annunciator
CALL Annunciator mounting hole
Attend & Ground call button holes
Equip cooling switches
Backlight connector hole

And obviously the rain repellent switches are gone

gufau

It is true that it is not obvious but I thought maybe remove the buttons too, remove the holes of fixations, etc.

I'm going to contact Phil although I would not want to put too much money that even ...

Otherwise, I will resell this frame or mount the other elements and leave as such left to continue to seek the true panels

Gallie

I might have the lightplates you search, but in very rough condition. Will send you some pics in a couple of weeks.

As i have 2 frames i decided to sacrifice one frame by cutting out the sections with switch holes and make a aluminum backpanel for the replica lightplates to fit. This solution works out great for me in my current replica panel setup.

You have frames of the same model as me or are the panels that correspond to mine

I can not wait to see your images

Guy

Gallie

I really think my frames are the same type. With the same amount of holes on the same locations.
As i said earlier, very rough condition. I think one also has a crack.

Shoot me a PM in about 3 weeks, so i dont forget.

I remembered by myself...

Pic of the lightplates.
They are in way better shape then i remembered. no cracks and paint is good also.
The one lightplate has a coating that is comming loose, behind the coating nice paint.
Just the mounting hardware that is fixed to the lightplates is pretty much missing/damaged on all positions.

The "lights" plate should fit without problems.
The other plate has the "lavatory" light, you dont have the cutout in your frame.

Shoot me a PM for further comms

Thanks to Gallie, very good contact and pannels received without problem, some adjustments but it suits me perfectly
