Trialling foam bumpers...should be available soon. Still rigid plastic for the moment.

Nice piece of kit Dave..

This is one of the hardest pieces to shape just right.  Looks good.

Nice work indeed, you chaps sticking mainly with the 737 or do you have other aircraft planned?, could do with the same but for the 767.

But seriously, nice work, keep it up, there are a few bits and pieces i need of you.

Looks real good
Actually Dave the part that I find a real pain is the Under wing, That awkward part that goes from the wing to the MIP, Very hard to replicate decently because of the shape of the MIP itself.

I used some Corroplast which is nothing more that corrugated "carboard" but made in Plastic, which comes in black and is sort of pliable.
This part would be a great help for builders.

Hey jack, hope you are good mate. we did have a go at the underwings but were worried guys would have diff angled/ sized Mips and mcp housings etc so we sorta gave it away. Might be worth a second look. If we made them flexible they could be slightly modified and have a bit of tolerance. Yours look great btw.

Dave,  I have to agree with Jack, As I am in need of both the moulded wingd and the "Under wings" perhaps there is something that you can manufacture that is literally a flat flexible piece of plastic that has a nice edge down the front and left side, whereby that left edge will hold shape and the end user can screw the meterial and trim the meterial to suit his/her needs.

I am not sure what I am going to do with this underwing, but seen as the cockpit is dark, and really you don't get a good look at this area, I was just thinking about using somethign like the plastic you buy for those cheap shower walls, and painiting it black.  But really I don;t know what to do yet.

Try Corroplast , BMR, Home depot, Rona
Otherwise I had a try with plastic black planters used for seedlings.

But yes Dave the difficult part of it is the front where it links to the wing after that if it is made a tad oversized the user can cut it to his liking...not an easy one
Actually to Hide/avoid one corner in the MIP design I lowered the bottom part of the MCP casing by 1"1/2 (see that just above the yaw damper gauge) and cut off a little bit of the top of the autobrake panel.

This way the black liner has just two angles to follow instead of three.

Awesome I will look into that.  My question is how did you attach the item to the MIP, when you can't get up to screw it after it is installed?  I would think you would want the screws hidden, so if the panel is to look nice and flat, how did you attach it so you don;t see the screws?

Actually it is pressed against the top of the mip by little tabs screwed to my alu support frame....you can see one on the left halfway up
