Hi!

I'm looking for dimensions on the DA42 panels, but can't find any. Read the Service Manual, POH and AOH  :(

If anyone have the dimensions, please, let me know!  :D

fsaviator

those will be tough to find.

One option is to use the panels from your sim and interpolate the dimensions.  Gauges are a standard size, so you have a known measurement to apply to the whole panel.  It may not be perfect but at the end of the day, it will be close.

Another option, esecially as you already have a rating...  go to your nearest airfield with a Katana and ask if you can get some measurements.

Also, you could use a high res photo such as this:

Then lookup the dimensions of the Garmin G1000 displays, and scale the picture to suit.

There is a DA20 here at our airport I could measure, but I doubt it will be the same as the 42.

Hi guys!

Thank you for the help!
The Katana and the DA42 don't have the same cockpit as far as I know, the DA40 and the DA42 is pretty much the same though. But the thing is, in Sweden where I live, we don't have that many DA42's or DA40. Well, alot of DA40s but no one close to where I live.

I guess I have to use photos and try to get something close to the real size.
Does anyone know the correct size of the G1000?
Right now I have dimensions for it, but I'm not 100% sure it's the right size.

196x300mm for the big screens including the plastic frame with the buttons on it. I think this is the correct size! But if someone knows something else and is 100% sure, let me know!

I'll post a picture for you of my 3D-panels so far, just need to start up my gaming computer. :)

Anyway, thank you!

Don

I believe you can get a full size poster of the cockpit panel , look on ebay
