Title: Solidworks Veterans Discounts
Post by: jskibo on November 08, 2018, 05:47:53 PM
I'm about to build a MPCNC and in doing some research I discovered Solidworks offers their Student edition for US and Canadian Military active duty / Retired / Reserves and Veterans for $20.

You can request here and need to provide proof

https://store.solidworks.com/veteran/default.php?command=Step1

Excellent deal if you can take advantage of it!

That's awesome! Thanks for posting this. I'll have dig out my DD-214 after Worldflight. Been using Fusion360. Bit of a steep learning curve.

If you think that Fusion is  a steep learning curve, wait till you have a go at Solidworks!
In fact Fusion is very much like Solidworks, in both it's user interface and in it's hierarchical structure. The only major difference is in the price.

Having said that for $20 it's quite a steal... ;)
