Trevor &| Bob,

I'll be attending this year, but probably only the latter half... Turns out my current employer is hosting their annual tech conference ON THE SAME WEEK and I need to be there for at least some of it... I think...

As such, one of my colleagues, an avid pilot who owns his own A/C lives in Austin Texas. Also turns out the conference is in Austin. We *might* fly out to SRQ in his A/C, returning to Austin then me catching a commercial flight back to Seattle.

So.. needless to say, some logistical issues are at play and there's some talk that needs to get started around scheduling, etc...

You know it starts on the first Saturday IN November, right? Not the first weekend? It will really suck if you can not be there.

Trevor Hale

The dates are the 6th to the 12th of November.

So noted......I plan to be there for most or all of the week this time around.

NOTAM....Nov 8 is the presidential election in the U.S.  U.S. pilots will need to arrange an absentee ballot......but such could be moot, I am not certain I could vote for any of the front-running baffoons on either side of the aisle right now.

LOL Hilarious...  I have my own opinions, but I will keep that to myself to maintain relations between our two countries LMFAO..  Sure thing Ray, I would be happy to sponsor your migration to the north LOL.

For what I can see the outcome doesn't look too promising, hoping there is enough room up north for me and my sim, I forgot I hate cold weather!

I just got done saying to Joe that my neighbor's house is for sale, so Sam you can buy it and move in before election day! Then, you'd be in Wisconsin for World Flight and right next door to me, as well as Canada for Trev. Yes, I know Wisconsin is still the US, but there are so many people from Canada here and Wisconsinites there, I think we're ready to make our state a part of their country...I mean that in a really good way!

Now, if only Bob would move closer, we'd have it made. Think about it, we spend 6 months inside every year...uh, unless you really, really like snow! Then, it might be 5 months inside; oh yeah, you can spend more time outside where you can ski, ride a snowmobile, play ice hockey, ice skate or go snow tubing until you break a leg and a wrist at the same time! Just ask Karen about that one, she got a year inside from that winter fun. Almost forgot, you can do all that stuff even more at -20 below...sure!

Trev stop fibbing, you know it gets cold up there, just ask about those Artic Blast we get! You just want Sam more than me...I snowball fight you for him...rotflol! Nevermind, it's nearly 50 degrees outside today, and the snow is melting. Uh..., hold that thought, hey Sam the weather here is like Florida in the winter...will that work for you now? Come on, you got too admit I do try hard...lol!

Okay, back too snowball fights, we need a snowball emoticon...but, this will do.

:tomat: :tomat:

Thanks for the invite John, I would also like someone a bit closer to chat to. Although I do have a good pal who comes over every now and then and we have a 737 session. But move to the US, even if I could afford it, I would have to drag the wife kicking and screaming. She would never move far from our two children, and of course our 16 year old granddaughter.

Regarding the quick demise of people like Ian, I have wondered whether I should make some provision myself.
It may be that Ian had some idea, because we were all shocked when he suddenly dismantled his cockpit and sold everything off last year.
But a good idea to have some names that people could perhaps ask for advice.

How's this for your snowball emoticon John...

Best regards
Joe.

Thank you for the invite John, would love to have you as a neighbor, only problem I have is the cold weather, I'm allergic to any temperature below 60, the other day it dropped to 42 and I had all my winter clothes on me, lol, I've never seen snow, that says it all.

So sorry about Ian.

As long as I can host Worldflight here in sunny Florida I'll avoid the cold weather.

Hope to see more of you guys this year, is the only time of the year that I take the whole week off from work, love to have a big group of flight simmers here with us.

See you on Worldflight, Cheers!
