I have built some comercial grade force feedback units for custom made systems. More info in the thread:

https://www.cockpitbuilders.com/index.php?topic=8478.new#new

I am going to build a remote display unit version, so you have a 2 1/4" gauge in the panel to setup the force feedback system.
And an updated firmware to work with MSFS.

Video with a example system driven by this unit:

I have built the FFair control unit in "commercial quality".
I have several of them.

Xplane communicates with the control unit. And each axis is connected to the control unit:
-encoder
-motor driver (different types are supported)
-trim (buttons or potentiometer can be used)
-servos for trim indicator
-galvanometer for the trim indicator
-power (only if servos or galvanometers are used)

More than 50 parameters can be changed for each axis, depending on hardware components you use and desired forces setup.

After a long build periode the first offiver's upper MIP panel is finally finished. This was also the first time I used a stepper motor in my cockpit.

On another thread we just finished interfacing some fuel gauges and flaps indicator with link2fs and Arduino:

Excellent. I changed a couple of things, but the end result is what's important, so if you're happy then it's done!

This line can be altered to allow the needles to move faster:
const float fuel_max_lbs_per_period = 3000; // Maximum amount we can move in 0.1s

Do you want to do analog input for the flaps lever, or is the project done now?

@ame, thank you again for the code...it works perfectly, of course!

I have included a video...it starts off slow because I needed time to get back to the instructors panel and enter the fuel particulars.

Thank you again!!

Sounds like a nice setup...   The 4k input to your projectors will help refine the visuals.  Good luck with the project.

I had Optoma 1080GT Darbee's but got a heck of a deal on a 4k upgrade, so now I have 3 Optoma UHD35stx projectors and will be running at 4k.  Hope to get it all calibrated this weekend.
